Nagito is a student of Class 77-B at Hope's Peak Academy and becomes a participant of the Killing School Trip featured in "Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair" under the title "The Ultimate Lucky Student". He, along with the rest of Class 77-B, also feature in the anime, "Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope's Peak High School" which explores their school life before the killing game.
He also makes an appearance in "Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls" as a brainwashed butler called "Servant". He returns once again as the protagonist of the OVA "Danganronpa 2.5: Nagito Komaeda and the World Vanquisher", exploring his "ideal world".
Nagito first comes off as a polite, friendly, caring and easygoing, yet somewhat insecure. Though friendly with everyone, he is mostly interested in spending time with Hajime and can be quite obsessive and clingy. As a result, Hajime considers him a little annoying but mentions that he enjoys his company. He attempts to be the team's conflict mediator and a poster boy for optimism, however, he isn't taken very seriously, with Hiyoko in particular often making fun of him. However, it's revealed this personality is a a coping mechanism for him, focusing on cheering everyones else up while ignoring his own fear, and as the game goes on, his real personality starts slipping out. This personality is mainly characterised by neuroticism, destructiveness, delusion and obsessiveness.

Pico is the protagonist of Pico's School and the tritagonist of Friday Night Funkin'. In Pico's school, he's an 8th Grader who finds himself a victim of a school shooting inacted by a group of his classmates. Due to no one coming to help, Pico has to singlehandedly stop them himself, which he succsessfully does at the expense of their lives. Although severly traumatised and injured, school continues as normal and he becomes friends with his classmate Nene and new classmate Darnell. Friday Night Funkin' takes place 5/6 years after and in current day, Pico, Nene and Darnell are assassins for hire who have been in the field since the events of their source material. Daddy Dearest hires Pico to kill his daughters boyfriend, but finding out that his ex, Boyfriend, is the target, he cant bring himself to kill him. When the 3 are later rehired, he saves him again leaving them in a financial crisis.
Before the events of Pico's School, Pico was described as popular, curious, confident, and friendly by his peers, being the first one to raise his hand in class and often speaking up whenever possible. After the events of Pico's School, however, Pico developed an aggressive and homicidal side. He's shown being very paranoid, being armed 24/7 and isn't too trusting of others, always resorting to violence when faced with a problem and being very prone to violent outbursts. He is, however, apologetic after his outbursts, hinting that he likely has a hard time controlling his temper considering the fact that he's unmedicated. Despite this, he's very trustworthy to those he does trust, being extremlely loyal to a fault, sometimes to the point of obsession. While Pico is now known for his erratic and violent behavior, signs of his younger, more fun-loving self still shine through occasionally. From his love for dance, his DJing hobby, and his schoolboy humor, fragments of his younger, more sensitive self still live on deep down inside him despite everything.

Sonic the Hedgehog is Sega's mascot and the titular main protagonist of the Sonic the Hedgehog series. He's an anthropomorphic hedgehog known for his ability to run faster than sonic speed, hence his name. Born on Christmas Island, Sonic abandoned his home at an early age to pursue a life of adventures and has spent most of his life traveling around the world, usually accompanied by his friends. In his journeys, he has defended his world and others from various threats, especially his arch-nemesis, Doctor Eggman. He hates deceit, unfairness, and evil in all forms and has a very strong sense of justice, fighting for freedom and equality, no matter who (or what?) they are.
Sonic is a free-spirit with an insatiable appetite for adventure. He values freedom above all else and lives by his own rules rather than societal standards. He loves traveling around the world and interacting with different cultures and hates staying in one place for too long. He loves nature and detests environmental pollution, causing his conflict with Dr Robotnik. Despite his calm and carefree demeanor, he can be impatient, impulsive and short-tempered, often acting before thinking and ignoring others' warnings.
His moral compass is centered around freedom and equality rather then the law. He always stands up for the underdog without expecting anything in return, even if it means trouble or being despised by others, and for this reason, he does not consider himself a "hero". He deeply cares about his friends and will risk his life for them without any due consideration.

Boyfriend is the protagonist of Friday Night Funkin'. He's a young rapper who is trying to date Girlfriend, but her parents, Daddy Dearest and Mommy Mearest, are trying to kill him. To gain their approval, he must sing off against them and many other characters in his way during various weeks.
Boyfriend is portrayed as a young, overzealous rapper with a love for music, donuts and his girlfriend, Girlfriend. He loves to sing and show off his skills, resulting in his confident and cocky character. He is very determined and persistent about reaching his goals and won't let anyone get in the way of his success, even when threatened with death. He's implied to be clingy, as he is never seen without Girlfriend by his side. He is also very unintelligent, either not realizing when he is in danger or being overconfident about his ability to get out of it. Despite this apparent lack of intelligence, he has street smarts, as he knows how to heal people. Boyfriend seems quite willing to do immoral things. From tricking iPad children on YouTube for money and cigarettes, getting as much free food as possible from McDonald's by holding the store hostage, hogging up drive-throughs and vandalizing PlayPlaces, Boyfriend does not appear to care if the things he does are wrong as long as he can get what he wants. In addition, he appears to be somewhat destructive and influenced by anger, as whenever his phones fail to work properly, his first instinct is to destroy them in bizarre and extreme ways.
